Drive in the morning from your hotel to the mountain area of Batukaru to begin your Jatiluwih rice terrace trekking. The track begin from a small path and track, river, rice paddies field, and cacao Plantation with magnificent view of Bali best rice terraces on the Island. Here we can see also the intricate water irrigation system of the farmers well known as “ Subak” in Bali. Jatiluwih vilage is really amazing view with its terraces, so everybody admiring the beauty of the place. Jatiluwih village is very famous because of the best rice terrace on the Island of Bali and now become the heritage of UNISCO . Almost all the tourist from all over the world come to this village to see the beauty of Jatiluwih and surrounding.Actually the village is located on the foot of mount Batukaru on the height of 700 meters above sea level.The consistency of farmer for years to cultivate Bali rice and maintain the irrigation system become the first mayor of successful in agriculture.The only village that still plant black rice,red rice,sticky rice, bali rice but the other villages is not cultivate it anymore because of economic needed.The terraces make it beautiful like railway from away.The successful of farmer is determined by the unity of subak and the existence of water they can supply. There are a lot of spring water on the foot of mountain that make it consistences . The trek takes about 2 hours starting from the entrance ticket go down along the paved road until you find the temple of Besi Kalung. Then walk up again on the rice terrace and water canel ,hut . Then drive about 15 minutes to the local house to have lunch in the local house . This local house prepared the food and cooked by the local people as a cook. The atmosphere of the village is like living in the real village and get in touch by their family.After having lunch at local family house, we drive back to our hotel.That is our trip for Jatiluwih rice terrace trekking today.

The Itinerary of JATILUWIH RICE TERRACE TREKKING

7.45 AM	Pick up from hotel and drive up to the slope of Mt. Batukaru to begin your adventure.
9.15 – 9.30 AM	Arrive at the starting point
9.30 AM	Begin walking on the rice field through remote village, cacao, river and rice field.
12.00 PM	Finish walking and get up to the car.
12.15 PM	Drive to the restaurant for lunch
12.45 PM	Arrive at Restaurant
12.45 – 13.45 PM	Lunch Time
13.45 – 14.00 PM	Return back to the hotel
16.00 PM	Arrive Back at hotel
