Mount Agung Trekking Sun Set and Sun Rise 2 Days / 1 Night

Mount Agung is the highest mountain in Bali and it is consider the most sacred place for the God dwelling. It is about 3142 meters above sea level. The mountain Agung is located in the regency of Karangasem, Bali. It was erupted in 1963 and the latest one about 3 years ago. For hiking to Mount Agung there are some ways up to the top, but in general there are mainly 2 ways, one from Besakih temple and another one from Pasar Agung Sebudi. Both of them have different distances and difficulties of hiking. If you want to start from Besakih temple , it needs about six hours hiking and from Pasar agung need about 4 hours to reach the top. In recent time , hiking to Mount Agung is become populer to the adventure lovers.

Day 01

Pick up from hotel at 10.00 am from your hotel lobby then drive to the slope of mount Agung to reach village of Besakih, but before reaching the starting point, we will stop for lunch at the local restaurant with amazing view of rice paddy field then drive again 25 minutes to the starting point of Pengubengan Temple, visit the temples and pray at the Pengubengan temple to ask a blessing ceremony for safety and everything run well. After everything is clear up and we are ready to walk along the forest till meet last camp, we will have a break and overnight at Tent at the elevation of 2400 meters and from here we will enjoy the sun set in the west. Overnight at Tent.

Day 02

At about 04.00 am ,we continue to walk up to reach the highest mountain to see sun rise. We reach the top about 2 hours walking from the camp. We wait a few minutes to see sun rise then a beautiful scenery come out from east with brilliant yellow color and amazing view of mount Agung. There are a few hikers to do hiking to see sun rise on that day .The panorama is really amazing from the peak of mount Agung and almost all part of the Island of Bali can be seen from here .Afterward, we walk down to the camp to have breakfast. Then walk down again till reach the parking area where the car is waiting you . That is our experience to do mount agung sun set trekking and also we get mount agung sun rise in one day activities in Bali. Then drive to local restaurant for Lunch and transfer to our hotel. We arrive at the hotel late afternoon.

Condition : Very hard trek, Muddy , rocky and slippery during rainy season, visibility during cloudy only 1 meter, December to February is not recommended, April to November is the best time for climbing,
