Mount Batukaru Hike

Mount Batukaru is the second highest peak and sacred mountain in Bali Island after mount Agung. This mountain is located in Tabanan regency standstill in the middle of the island which is divide Bali into two plain,Northern and southern part.Mount Batukaru has already extinct volcano that may be erupted thousand years ago.With distinctive landscape and protected rain forest from the populated area make its pristine natural setting for visitors who prefer to do hiking and avoid the crowded of the people.To go to the peak of mount Batukaru, the way up is challenging about 4 hours hike with unsealed narrow trails under shaded rain forest. Along the way up there are many sacred single shrine located in the middle of the forest that are open for the visitor.Meanwhile you are arriving on the top, you will be rewarded by the total serenity with spectacular panorama overlooking northern part of Bali and southern part even java in the west and Lombok can be seen from here.After resting about one hour on the top including having lunch box and see the beautiful view then we go down to the car waiting us .This is also need about 4 hours walking down to the car.So the total we need about 8 hours walking only.we need very good stamina and fitness to be prepared if we want to hike to mount Batukaru.This is the second harder hiking in Bali although on the way is covered by forest under the shady trees.Before back to your hotel,we will passing the best rice terraces in Belimbing Bali so do not miss it again.
